We enjoyed the weekend with Auntie Sarah, Uncle Dustin, and cousin Johanna at the 25th annual Spinach Festival. The girls had a blast spending the day together and having a mini slumber get together. So the history behind the festival is that Lenexa was hailed as the “Spinach Capital of the World” during the 1930’s! Belgian farmers grew Spinach in the Lenexa area and shipped it by rail. The Spinach Festival rolls all of the history surrounding Lenexa into a fun celebration!
